Cellulite body wraps are popular for both at home and in salon treatments. What is a cellulite body wrap? Well, these wraps consist of special wraps or clothing made out of rubber or plastic, and are worn around the waist, covering the waist, hips and thighs. Some others can even cover nearly the entire body. Nowadays, more and more beauty salons offer body wrapping to their clients. This procedure is believed to remove inches of cellulite from hips, thighs and waist. People can, by wrapping the body in this special material,  lose inches, (not pounds) in a few hours. This is perfect if you want to go somewhere special and need to lose a few emergency inches. The good news is this can also be done at home, and you can wear this special type of clothing even when you're sleeping or shopping. There are several types of body wraps. Some of them are inflated with air from a vacuum cleaner; others use devices, such as hair dryers to blow in warm air. You can also use a cream or lotion after you use the wrap, or even use it directly on the wrap. Many experts agree that cellulite body wraps can lead to losing inches and sometimes pounds. However this can be simply explained by the perspiration the person has lost. This is achieved by reducing and removing excess fluids from the body. Unfortunately, in most of cases, these reductions are temporary because the fluids etc are replaced by eating and drinking. Also the process of removing fluids etc from the body in this way can be harmful. All the dehydration that happens during this process can lead to unbalanced electrolytes in our body. Yet, if you have body wrapping done gradually, and in a reputable spa, you can achieve great results. The prices for a body wrapping session varies from $40 to several thousands, depending on how sophisticated the body wraps are and how good you really want to look. Some spas even offer herbal and other natural cellulite body wraps. The herbs are very different and can help body wrapping by increasing the circulation in your body or soothing your skin. Body wrapping can be a complex process, and can also sometimes be unpleasant. The toxins which are released can even make you feel as if you have a high temperature. This release of toxins etc is due to the herb-infused sheets wrapped around your body. This way, all the toxins in your body are eliminated, and due to this detoxification process, the cellulite will gradually disappear from the body. Other favorites for body wrapping include seaweed, mud and salt. These are all very popular body wraps. Usually the client is wrapped from their neck down to their toes with their arms pressed close to the sides of their body. This can be an uncomfortable experience, and if you suffer from claustrophobia is not really recommended. No matter what type of body wrap you choose, make sure you feel comfortable with the spa or beauty salon you choose. Also ensure the person doing the body wrap is well trained and is always close at hand to help you. The spa that you choose can really make a difference. So do some research before you start body wrapping.

There's not a lot of information on medisana micro massage anti cellulite shorts. And I admit, I was a little surprised to read about it. My first reaction was one of disbelief. They seemed as unlikely to work as all those miracle cellulite creams. After doing a bit more research, I found some information on the theory behind them. It seems medisana micro massage anti cellulite shorts work by a combination of compression, and heat generation. Both of these principles combine to increase circulation, and lymphatic drainage. In some ways, it's like having a lymphatic drainage massage every time you wear them. In that respect, I think they're on solid ground - more so than the cream, at least. Creams only work to disguise cellulite, whereas these compression style shorts will actually help remove it. The medisana micro massage anti cellulite shorts are made of a multi-layered fabric with a rubberized core. They liken it to a scuba suit, which honestly doesn't sound very comfortable. The only drawback that I can see from these shorts is that you have to wear them a lot. The more you wear them, the greater the effect. You can wear them under clothes, and if you live in cooler climates, this probably isn't going to be an issue. I live in the tropics, however, and the idea of adding another layer of clothes and increasing my body heat when all I want is to cool down, is not appealing. But I think the medisana micro massage anti cellulite shorts would be ideal for more temperate climates. They're quite cost effective when you compare them to having spa or lymphatic drainage treatments. If you're someone prepared to wear them very regularly, then I think they would work out well. And they have received some good reviews. Medisana also make micro massage leggings too.

Miss Sixty anti cellulite jeans are low rise jeans impregnated with a solution of retinol and chitosan. They call it an anti-cellulite serum. It's a somewhat bizarre idea, but it follows in the tradition of clothing enhanced with technology, which apparently makes people buy like crazy, even if they only believe it works a little. The Miss Sixty anti cellulite jeans have had scathing reviews, however. USA Today talked about them and other cellulite products under the heading 'Do These Jeans Make Me Look Gullible?' And the BBC website featured a story in which they quoted Norma Waterhouse from the British Association Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons as saying "There is no evidence that anything is better at reducing cellulite than going to the gym three times a week." He dismissed the Miss Sixty jeans as a marketing ploy. In some ways, he may be right, as they have received a lot of press since the release of these anti cellulite clothes (they also make skirts and pants with the same serum in them). I mean, I hadn't heard of Miss Sixty before now. Have you? Before we look at whether there is any merit to these jeans, and indeed, Mr Waterhouse's comments, lets look at how these anti-cellulite jeans are supposed to work. The idea is that the friction created from wearing the jeans as you walk releases the serum into your thighs. The serum is supposed to get rid of cellulite. And the jeans themselves are designed to make you look slim. As such, they are more similar to cellulite creams and lotions. The question then, is does this particular serum have the benefits of some of the more well known lotions? I truly don't know the answer to that. I haven't found any testimonials or discussions on them. Most of the serum is released on the first wear - about 40%. The rest of the serum will stay in the fabric for about 30 to 40 washes, as long as they are hand washed. It will release gradually as you wear them on subsequent occasions. What I have found with cellulite creams in general is that they work okay at minimizing the appearance of cellulite, but they don't actually get rid of cellulite. The ingredients in the miss sixty anti cellulite jeans may work to some extent, as retinol has been shown to have some effect on cellulite. Chitosan, which is a herbal fat burner, has no record, just some theory. I guess the advantage of the jeans is that, if you wear them very regularly for the first month, then you're getting a steady course of retinol on your cellulite. But you'd have to be wearing them pretty much every day, I would imagine. You'd have to approach it like a regular cellulite treatment. Even the creams say you should apply them every night. And salons get you to have a course of anti-cellulite therapy. Bottom line - if you like the way miss sixty anti cellulite jeans make your butt look, then they are probably a good buy. If not, I'd forget it and try some other anti-cellulite product. But if you do like the jeans, I'd get them fast - they are not being made again next season, according to the manufacturer.

Cellulite and stress are the diseases of the 21st century. Cellulite can be defined as a subcutaneous fat tissue, which causes a dimpling effect on the skin, giving it an ugly aspect. These fat deposits are more likely to appear on the hips, thighs and buttocks of both women and men (but more likely to women), but you can also find cellulite on the upper arms. In fact, 99% of women after the age of 30 years tend to encounter cellulite problems. The market is chock full of cellulite removal products. The bad news is that few of them are really effective. So, as with any other purchase, intelligent consumers do some research before making the final decision on a certain brand or product. There are some independent organizations such as"E-Consumer" or "Consumer Health Digest" that provide reviews of products and services concerning cellulite. This way the consumers can make better informed buying decisions. When purchasing an anti-cellulite product, you should know that the ingredients are the ones that will make a difference. First of all, make sure you have no allergies to any of the ingredients that some pills or a cream contain. After that, purchase only those products that contain several ingredients such as vitamins, antioxidants, caffeine or green tea extract. These are usually recommended and believed to be effective in removing cellulite from your body. Also, a good method to find out what products are the best in cellulite reduction is to visit several spas. They have special products that they use. If the spa sessions have good results, you can buy those products, and use them at home. This way, you will buy the best products, and save some money. You can also ask for the advice of a physician who will recommend a diet to go with those products and assist you in ridding yourself of your cellulite. One of the newest anti-cellulite products is the cellulite soap. This special soap will work to restore the collagen in the skin, and clean the harmful bacteria. The soap also uses some sea weed extract that will penetrate the skins surface, and emulsify the fat layer, commonly known as cellulite. Also, the soap is very good at preventing cellulite, so you can reliably use it. The advantage is that, you can combine it with an anti cellulite cream for more effective results. You can use it at home, three to five times a day for good results. The market is full of anti cellulite products, which are more or less effective. You just need to be aware that creams or pills are not enough for a totally effective cellulite reduction. Exercises, massages, a diet and many other cellulite removal products and techniques play important roles. There are special programs designed to help you, and all you have to do is to stick with the one you think is more suitable for your needs. A cosmetic physician is an excellent resource to use who will recommend a suitable program.
